Position Overview:

  • Advanced understanding of HR practices, procedures, and fundamentals.
  • Ability to apply HR knowledge in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

  • Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.
  • Knowledgeable in general human resources, recruiting and training concepts. Knowledge about laws and regulations that govern hiring, worker safety, employment decisions, worker benefits, employee relations, compensation, diversity, work rules and requirements.
  • Highly effective planning, organizing, and problem solving and skills.
  • Highly effective communication skills including meeting interaction, one to one employee interactions, written communication, email, interdepartmental interactions and cross-functional interactions.
  • Ability to effectively analyze and solve problems especially those related to people. Ability to engage others in the resolution of problems.
  • Ability to lead by example using a practical, respectful, professional, and interactive approach

Responsibilities Would Include:

  • Hire employees and process all hiring-related paperwork.
  • Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
  • Coordinate with outside staffing agencies to secure temporary employees, based on departmental needs.
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges etc.
  • Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media etc.
  • Select qualified job applicants or refer them to managers, making hiring recommendations when appropriate.
  • Interview job applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, or job skills.
  • Develop or implement recruiting strategies to meet current or anticipated staffing needs.
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.
  • Promote company’s reputation as “best place to work”
  • Point of Contact for Performance Management Set up and administration
  • Participate in Job Evaluation committee and assist in evaluating jobs in the hourly workforce for all production-based positions
  • Assist in coordinating training and development initiatives for employees and departments.
  • Maintain training records and submit for grant funding where applicable.
  • File Unemployment Claims as necessary.
  • Assist in annual EEO/AAP/VETS reporting.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Partner with area school districts on employment initiatives.
  • Maintain our internal quality management and information system – Qwiki for all HR topics.
  • Maintain and update human resources documents, such as organizational charts, employee handbooks or directories, or performance evaluation forms.
  • Maintain data in information systems or databases such as UltiPro, Workday and Taleo/Oracle.
  • Any and all other job duties as assigned to support HR function

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline (HR, Business Administration) plus two years’ experience working in a Human Resources or similar office setting Additional Requirements:
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products, UltiPro, WorkDay and Taleo/Oracle a plus Effective Time Management Skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to support organizational objectives and strategies
  • Ability to speak with employees on various topics and assist with questions
  • Proven work experience as a Recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter)
  • Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,512.25 - $80,956.84 per year
