Position Title: IndustrialMaintenance Mechanic
Location: Green River, Wyoming

We need to add skilled mechanics to maintain diesel and other mining equipment in our underground mine and/or maintain one of our many surface operation processing plants. Our mechanics are some of the best in the business and play a key part in Genesis Alkali's mission to deliver quality products in a safe environment. Mechanics are responsible for the installation, testing, and repair of all types of mechanical equipment used on our mining and chemical manufacturing processes. This equipment includes, but is not limited to: pumps, valves, bearings, seals, gear boxes, piping systems, screw conveyors, belt conveyors, drag conveyors, bucket elevators, centrifuges, crushers, ball mills, air compressors, turbine generators, mobile equipment, and a variety of mining equipment such as roof bolters, shuttle cars, continuous bore miners, and a longwall miner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy industrial equipment and systems including power and utilities to keep production running safely and reliably
  • Plate and pipe stick welding
  • Provide constant evaluation of equipment condition and acceptable standards for mechanical maintenance
  • Perform maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on high pressure steam and other fluid piping systems
  • Ensure compliance with relevant company health & safety policies and procedures, as well as government regulations
Required Education and Experience:
  • Associate degree/certification in mechanical maintenance discipline from an accredited college/university. Prefer at least 1 year of industrial experience in addition to certification, but not required.
  • OR journeyman license in the ironworks, millwrights, or mechanic disciplines.
  • OR High School Diploma or Equivalent from and accredited institution with 3 years of verifiable experience in heavy industrial mechanical maintenance and repair (i.e. mining, milling, oil and gas, power and utilities, and manufacturing).
  • Background checks including employment and education verification are conducted.
  • Passing score Physical Abilities Test (PAT).
Preferred Experience
  • Underground Mine Maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Strong preference for applicants who live within a reasonable distance and are willing to commute daily.
