Information Assurance Engineer Job at Geologics Corporation
Information Assurance Engineer job is available in Aurora, Colorado with GeoLogics top Space and Defense company. In this job you will support the Global Positioning System (GPS) Next-Generation Operational Ground Control System (OCX) Program. To qualify for this position you will be a U.S. Citizen with active DOD Secret security clearance; IAT II Certification and prior experience with DISA STIGs, IA automation & NIST SP800-53 Risk Management Framework. Additional experience troubleshooting and resolving Chef IA automation deployment issues is required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and reference reading in obtaining technical information
- Perform activities in the areas of Cybersecurity / Information Assurance (IA) / System Security Engineering (SSE) in accordance with NIST SP 800-53 Risk Management Framework (RMF) for deployment of DISA STIGs using automation.
- Apply risk management concepts to mitigate vulnerabilities in system security architectures
- Keep informed of currently approved standards, codes, and procedures applied to cybersecurity specialty
Required Skills
- US Citizenship and a current Active U.S. Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance
- IAT Level II certification
- BA/BS degree in Science Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with focus in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, Information Technology,
- 5+ years of related experience
- Working knowledge of VMWare Products (vSphere, vROPS, vRA)
- Working knowledge of automation scripting languages (RUBY desired, but not required)
- Working knowledge of automation tools, Chef, Bash, python
- Working knowledge of current Cyber technologies and experience with NIST 800 Series and DoD 8570 regulations and governing DISA STIGs and/or SRGs
- Understanding of Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Assessments (IAVAs)
- Prior experience with RMF controls, risk assessments, and POA&M generation
- Strong working knowledge of Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) concepts, to include 2-factor authentication, Public Key encryption techniques, patch management, end-point security systems, intrusion detection, security event management and defense-in-depth.
Desired Skills:
- Robust conceptual and practical understanding of IT infrastructure designs, technologies, products, and services
- Experience supporting IA automation (STIG deployment) using Chef automation scripts.
