Summary

This key role is responsible for supporting and maintaining existing customer base and business with strategic accounts, NIS (National Insdustrial Supply), and OEM customers. This Sales Specialist will build a deep knowledge of the Fluid Power market and our products and will meet and achieve annual sales and customer satisfaction objectives collaboratively working with sales, manufacturing sites, marketing and product management teams. As a sales support specialist - this role will have actions and work within different functional areas including product management, customer technical support, sales quotations and price implementation.


Responsibilities

  • Achieve annual sales targets while delivering an excellent customer experience through fast response, building a sales pipeline, successfully capturing leads, providing quotes and responding to technical inquiries with speed, accuracy and respectful communications.
  • Working with sales, build and maintain strategic account relationships.
  • Effectively utilize sales tools and processes for the sales channels within your area of responsibility. Actively seek IR best practices and is responsible for continuous process improvements.
  • Coordinate channel communication with sales, product management and communication manager (newsletter, distributor meetings, webinar…) to increase channel expertise and brand awareness.
  • Effective execute approved distributor incentive programs.
  • Implement sales & promotions programs established by marketing and/or product manager.
  • Identify and participate in training programs for products and/or services. Facilitate training with internal and external customers as needed.
  • Support product management VOC and compeitive market analysis initiatives. Implement approved pricing adjustments successfully within the customer base.
  • Provide technical product support and facilitating the close of large sales opportunities with the sales team or channels.
  • Execute portfolio additions and subtractions as decided by leadership, in alignment with overall business strategy.
  • Engage with SIOP and commercial teams to ensure appropriate levels of forecasting.
  • Work with engineering and sourcing teams to address any supply-chain related issues.
  • Travel to customers as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in sales and technical support; preferably to distributors and to end users.
  • Associates degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Equivalent experience/background will be considered
  • Provide success in direct customer communications/customer service
  • Ability to travel 25%
