Instructional Designer / Technologist Job at Alderson Broaddus University
Alderson Broaddus University seeks applications for an Instructional Designer/ Technologist. The position of Instructional Designer/Technologist is a 12-month, salaried position. The person holding the position is expected to have had previous experience in similar capacities and hold at least a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred).
General Responsibilities:
- Oversee AB’s Moodle learning management system (LMS), Class Climate course assessment tool, and MyVRSpot video management solution, and other instructional resources.
- Provide training to faculty, students, and staff.
- Create instructional materials that benefit both faculty and students.
- Actively participate in AB’s Distance Learning Committee.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Three-years’ experience in managing or co-managing a college or university’s LMS (Moodle preferred).
- A Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience with Quality Matters’ standards for course design and its associated rubrics.
- Intermediate to expert experience with Microsoft Office.
- Cursory knowledge of HTML and Video Production.
- Presentation skills.
The Instructional Designer/Technologist reports to the Associate Provost.
