Duties

Primary responsibilities include teaching and tutoring junior college-level chemistry and physics, planning, developing, and implementing same courses, and working with department faculty members in areas of curriculum development, laboratory implementation, study skills development, and methods to enhance the student learning process. In addition, the incumbent will evaluate the performance, leadership and officer potential of over 230 Air Force Academy cadet candidates and advise students in a classroom environment and on a one-on-one basis to enhance their academic and study skills potential. The incumbent will also serve in auxiliary unit positions as established by the Commander, the Dean of Academics, or the Department Head, and will participate in a supplementary capacity in military training and physical conditioning activities in order to maintain currency in the disciplines required for the primary duties.
