JOB TITLE: TARS Integrated Logistic Engineering Manager
POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, 8 x 10
LOCATION: El Paso, TX
OVERVIEW:
A Government contractor is seeking TARS experienced Integrated Logistic Engineering Manager to support the DHS Customs & Border Protection Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) program. The TARS program leverages aerostat systems to provide persistent surveillance, detection capabilities, to our U.S. Government customer. We have several opportunities providing Operations and Sustainment (O&S) support for TARS along the US Southern border in multiple locations including Puerto Rico, Florida, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.
The Integrated Logistic Engineering Manager will work under the direction of the SEIL Depot and Field Engineering Manager on TARS operations and will manage the Logistics Specialists onsite. Due to the variety of the work products, the successful candidate will need a flexible and adaptable skill set, with a strong learning orientation. The candidate must possess strong organizational and logistical skills with the ability to multitask and collaborate with the Logistics Depot West Lead, Depot East Team Members, and site operators to define warehousing usage requirements and track material issues. The candidate must also be able to track operation component needs and drive material purchase requests.
The ideal candidate will have TARS experience, and have specific experience performing the following:
POSITION SUMMARY:
· Assigned as an Integrated Logistics Manager supporting the planning, development, and management of logistics and sustainment analyses and products.
· Liaison with counterpart managers at other TARS locations to manage workload and promote re-use of common solutions and processes across all skill sets.
· Develops and administers integrated logistics strategies, including supply chain activities from point of manufacture through information management support, deployment freight, warehousing, customer freight, order management, customer warehousing, customer store shipment, and customer placement.
· Supports logistics planning including the identification of logistics resources and capabilities, and organizational logistics needs.
· Develops logistics plans and alternatives for logistics support.
· Executes a continuous improvement methodology of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions.
· Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve quality of services delivered.
· Ensures full customer satisfaction through on time delivery of all ILS products.
· Support Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) program strategies and concepts design criteria to various internal and external leaders, technical, programmatic and product development teams.
· Develops pro-active approaches to sustain continuous process improvement in existing processes and provide briefings to internal and external leadership representatives.
· Interact directly with and advise internal and Government senior leadership representatives to resolve supportability issues.
· Collaborates seamlessly with teammates and counterparts across TARS (horizontal integration) in support of business and program objectives.
· Participate in process improvement activities in various functional areas.
· Additional duties and related responsibilities will be assigned as required.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
· Successfully completed Background Investigation with a Favorable Suitability Determination, and issuance of DHS Suitability determination.
· Experience in representing Integrated Logistics and sustainment program strategies and concepts.
· Self-starter with demonstrated communication skills.
· Experience with Microsoft Office, to include PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Access.
· Ability to effectively collaborate in-person and remotely.
· Must be able to obtain & maintain a Secret level clearance.
· Expertise in Infor or HxGN EAMs.
Preferred
· DMSMS and Obsolescence Management Knowledge.
· Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability products and support.
· Familiarity with the 12 Logistics Product Support elements.
· Life Cycle Cost Analysis experience.
· Customer interface experience.
· Sparing models and analyses.
· Experience developing and reporting on metrics to capture business process performance.
·
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- BS/BA in relevant field of study required. Additional experience can supersede degree requirement.
- 8 years’ experience in the areas of ILS management and administration in accordance with US government requirements.
