Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry & Support Center (BCEFP) is a, 33
Year old Non-Profit Organization focused on winning the battle against hunger in
Bastrop County. The mission of the Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry &
Support Center is to serve Bastrop County Residents going through periods of transition by providing Emergency Food Assistance, Education & Support.
BCEFP has all the building blocks in place to greatly expand our ability to provide service to our community. We are seeking one dynamic individual to join us in stacking those blocks.

BCEFP has one full-time position: Inventory Control Team application submission is required.

What We Are Looking For:

 Management Experience required

 Must have public speaking skills

 Strong writing skills

 Know how to use Access, Publisher, Word, and Excel

 Strong communication skills

 Experience with managing and purchasing a large inventory.

 Purchasing and ordering experience

 Receiving donations and keeping accurate log entries of all donations.

 Following procedures pertaining to proper handling of work ticket/inventory documentation

 Maintaining the warehouse in a neat, orderly state.

 Operating warehouse equipment in a safe manner.

 Complying with all health regulations and other laws that govern food handling.

 Performing additional duties as assigned by the Operations Management
Team.

 Aligning work duties with The Food Pantry Mission and Vision.

 Asked to perform other duties as assigned.

 Maintaining the freezer and cooler in a neat and orderly condition, including frequent trash removal, and ensuring access to products.

 Transport food from donors to the Food Pantry and from the Food Pantry to partners- this includes loading, driving, and unloading product.

 Develop good working relationships with store personnel and agency personnel, and immediately notify the Transportation Director of any potential problems.

 Keep an accurate, legible log of the weights and sources of all food and grocery products donated and all agency receipts and shortages.

 Assess the condition of donated food, placing acceptable products in proper storage and immediately discarding the unacceptable product.

 Must be passionate about ending hunger

 2+ years of experience in a commercial warehouse environment required.

 1+ years’ experience working in a Food Service Industry preferred.

 The ability to work in a subzero freezer for up to 4 hours per day.

 Experience in warehousing.

 Demonstrated ability to operate warehouse equipment like a forklift, reach truck, electric jacks, and rider jacks.

 The capability to lift, push, or pull at least 50 pounds.

 The capacity to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

 The ability to work cooperatively with other staff, volunteers, agency personnel, and store employees.

 A High School Diploma or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
