Youngquist Brothers LLC is looking for a qualified Field Technician that will install and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality.

A successful Field Technician must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems.

The ideal candidate will have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. The goal is to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks on our construction sites to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability.

Responsibilities

· Requires travel to various Youngquist Brothers LLC jobsites around South Florida to install, troubleshoot, fine tune and repair systems. Company transportation will be provided.

· All tools will be provided by the company.

· Maintaining and repairing hardware including peripheral devices & network cameras

· Technician is primarily responsible for monitoring and installing low-voltage cables and systems for electronic equipment and communication devices at the jobsites.

· Must analyze blueprints and schematics to connect the cables safely and accurately.

· Conduct repairs for defective components and faulty wirings, recommending solutions and low-cost materials with high quality according to the company needs.

· Technician must have excellent organizational skills, especially in performing

· Working with management on designing and installing computer hardware, networks, connections and cabling

· Troubleshooting system failures and identifying solutions in the field

· Correcting problems in LAN infrastructure and testing and configuring software

· Evaluating network performance to improve the network

· Scheduling upgrades and maintenance without interrupting workflow

· Providing technical direction and giving training to coworkers about network systems

· Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications

· Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance

· Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems

· Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work

· Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule

· Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders

Skills

· Proven experience as IT Technician or relevant position (with low voltage wiring and hardware installation experience)

· Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills

· Critical thinking skills to solve complex problems

· Excellent communication ability with persons of various levels of computer knowledge

· Outstanding organizational and time-management skills

· In depth understanding of diverse computer systems, software and networking systems, and all associated hardware

· Experience with security camera systems and integrating into a network

· Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles

· Dexterity & mechanical ability when handling manual repairs and tests

· Degree in Computer Science, engineering or relevant field

· Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)

· Knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, general network technologies, and ethernet wiring standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
