Job Title: IT Support Opportunities - USTRANSCOM MITS

Location: Scott AFB, IL (telework subject to position requirements)

Clearance Level: Active DoD - Secret / Top Secret SCI

SUMMARY
The United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) located at Scott Air Force Base (AFB), IL, is one of 11 Unified Combatant Commands (UCC). USTRANSCOM provides command and control (C2) for the synchronized transportation, distribution, and sustainment of personnel and assets, making possible the projection and maintenance of national power wherever needed with speed and agility, high efficiency, and a high level of trust and accuracy.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Directly support the USTRANSCOM J-6 in the execution of IT projects and support service initiatives. As Program Manager, manage all contract and government/military relationships. Provide oversight over all contractor actions and coordinate with other government/contracts personnel supporting USTRANSCOM MITS.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Background, and Years of Experience

• BA/BS or MA/MS; Varying experience levels required by position

Required Skills

• Must have a strong technical background to interact and communicate with the team and to provide meaningful updates to a technically savvy customer.
• Basic understanding and principles of best practices for information technology, data management, and service management.
• Operationally focused mindset and ability to understand complicated and nuanced problems

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with system, network, application, and platform administration.
• Familiarity with USTRANSCOM environment and mission.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions

• Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.

Strength Demands

• Sedentary – 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
