Principal Responsibilities:
The Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Greater Dayton, an agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Dayton (JFGD), is looking for a part-time (20 hours per week), organized administrative professional to assist and support the JCC early childhood program

Position Summary:
Under general supervision of the Jewish Community Center (JCC) Early Childhood Director, the JCC Early Childhood Administrative Assistant performs, coordinates and oversees technical and office administrative duties for the JCC Early Childhood Education program.

JCC Early Childhood Administrative Duties:
- Assist with administration and logistics for the Early Childhood Education Center and programs for the Early Childhood Director.
- Schedule and organize materials for Early Childhood staff meetings; Take, compile and distribute minutes or other materials.
- Oversee all forms, paperwork and medicals for children as it pertains to Ohio licensing laws.
- Assist with staffing JCC and Early Childhood programs or events.
- Perform administrative duties in conjunction with JCC preschool; update class schedule, roster and process registrations.
- Organize Early Childhood events, fundraisers and family socials.
- Aide teachers with classroom needs; laminating, copying and assisting in classrooms as necessary.
Other administrative functions
- Design and implements forms for use within office by applying knowledge of software applications and updates as needed.
- Operate standard office equipment efficiently to include multi-line telephone, facsimile machine, calculator, computer with printer, photocopy machine.
- Coordinate with Marketing Department to submit Calendar Requests and updates for event information.
- Prepare Purchase Orders and Requests for Payment.
- Put accounting codes on receipts and submit to accounting department.
- Additional and various administrative support as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
- Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Zoom and file sharing platforms such as Dropbox, and project management tools like Teamwork
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with staff parents and children
- Good judgment and strong inclination to be proactive
- Resourceful and creative in problem-solving
- Ability to manage projects, organize and complete complex tasks and prioritize multiple assignments, and deliver on a timely basis
- Ability to thrive and succeed in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent computer/database skills
- Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Proficiencies with technology, including databases, and willingness to adapt to new technologies
- Ability to work occasional evenings once or twice monthly
- Prior work with young children a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 per hour
