Junior Scheduler Job at Hayes Manufacturing
SUMMARY
The Junior Scheduler is responsible for establishing, reviewing and maintaining the production schedule in alignment with the Production Plan. Establishing the production schedule will involve working closely with operations leaders, and others to coordinate manufacturing plans that achieve the company objectives relative to customer service, efficient resource/capacity utilization and inventory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist the Estimators/Project Managers/Schedulers in the development, implementation, analysis and coordination of the schedule for production or repairs.
- Provide scheduling support to assigned projects.
- Distribute production schedules or work orders to departments.
- Gather schedule information, update, analyze, and prepare reports of the project’s progress.
- Prepare concise schedule narratives in work order sequences describing the actions to be taken for each step.
- Ensure compliance with company scheduling standard operating procedures.
- Help to monitor and maintain project schedules.
- Close work order sequences and work orders as required.
- Participate in updating the master schedule and ERP system reporting.
- Update work orders and distribute to Supervisors as needed.
- Maintain quality assurance and control on assigned project schedules.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Education Standard: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Min. Yrs. Experience: 1-3 in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of plant receiving and materials movement processes.
- Basic Computer Skills (MS Office, Word, Excel) and ability to use plant IT programs.
- Demonstrated root cause analysis skills required.
