Job Summary

The Director of Youth Experience is responsible for overseeing and implementing programs and activities aimed at improving the overall experience and outcomes for youth residents at the County Juvenile Detention Facility. The Director will work closely with the Facility Director, staff, community partners, and residents to develop and implement programs and initiatives that support the physical, emotional, and intellectual development of youth in detention such as merit systems, youth council, mentoring programs, schooling, daily activities, and community partner engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education, or related field required; Masters of Doctoral degree preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of five years of experience working with youth in a detention or residential facility setting.

Other Requirements

1. A valid Driver's License and an acceptable, safe driving record.

2. Pass a DHHS Clearance and a Children's Protective Services History Review
