Who says you can't play with animals all day at work?

Norway Veterinary Hospital is looking for a full time Kennel Attendant to care for our in hospital patients and boarders.
Must be with flexible with schedule and available to cover rotating weekend and Holiday shifts
Applicant must be compassionate, detail oriented, self motivated, and love working with animals and their people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keeping cages clean and sanitized
  • Walking, feeding, and picking up after the animals
  • Various housekeeping duties (laundry, dishes, taking out garbage etc.)
  • Handling a variety of animals safely
  • Maintain hospital inventory, including restocking of retail products and medical supplies

Requirements:

  • Previous animal handling experience in a paid or volunteer role preferred but we are willing to train the right person.
  • Must be friendly and outgoing as you will be interacting with clients on a daily basis
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and be willing and able to safely move dogs of all sizes including dogs that are over 100 pounds.
  • Must be flexible with hours and available to work evenings and weekends
  • Must be comfortable standing, walking and being active for most of the day
