IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: KANZA HUMAN DEVELOPMENT DIVISION DIRECTOR

STATUS: REGULAR, FULL-TIME
LOCATION: Ponca City, OK
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree in Communications, Public Relations or related fields, preferred. Experience in website development and management. Experience in social media applications. One-year experience working in community development, preferred. Excellent human relation skills. Experience in working in a culturally diverse community setting. Sensitivity to cultural differences. Valid driver’s license and be insurable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Write newsletters and other communications instruments targeted to community of parents and citizens interested in the school district.
- Manage social media presence of district.
- Manage website presence of district in coordination with the Technology Department.
- Function as part of a team to provide assistance to students, families and staff to ensure a
successful school experience.
- Works closely with school staff and outside employers to obtain necessary information and provide assistance to clients.
- Provides support in implementation and coordination of activities with outside service
agencies, school sites, etc. for child care, transportation to and from school, etc.
- Conduct community meetings.
- Act as liaison with neighborhood associations.
- Develop connections between staff, parents, and students.
- Write routine reports and correspondence
- Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.

- Four (4) hours of Annual Leave begins accruing with the first paycheck and each full check during employment. As the employee’s length of service increases the 4 hours accrued increases to 6 (after 3 years), 8 (after 10 years), and 10 (after 15 years) hours per paycheck.
- Four (4) hours of Sick Leave begins accruing with the first paycheck and each full check during employment. This amount remains the same throughout employment.
