TASKS.
- Prepare cell cultures and dissect tissue
- Perform primary cell culture techniques
- Maintain and clean laboratory
- Collects receiving and packing slips and tracks supply orders
- Maintain inventory and order lab materials when needed
- Learn and perform basic techniques and procedures
- Operate commonly used equipment
- Collect and prepare samples for use
- Prepare materials and equipment for experiments
- Maintain inventory system and sample storage according to outlined guidelines
- Work with staff on maintenance of lab materials
- Ensure that supplies and consumables are ready and on hand as necessary for maximum efficiency in the laboratory
- Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment such as glasses, metal instruments, sinks, tables and test panels.
- Monitor and inventory routine laboratory supplies; ensure that supplies are stocked and organized
- Plan and organize requests for basic and extraordinary laboratory needs for supplies and consumables
- Ensure that supplies and consumables are ready and on hand as necessary for maximum efficiency in the laboratory
- Order and maintain laboratory supplies, reagents and equipment
- Perform a variety of laboratory techniques and procedures
- Perform minimal maintenance of lab equipment
- Monitor equipment performance and maintenance schedules
- Drive and pick up samples from near Baltimore, Maryland
QUALIFICATIONS.
- High school diploma
- Valid driver's license
- Experience maintaining stock solutions
- Proficiency in cell culture and pipetting
