Laundry Worker (part-time) Job at Westmoreland Manor
Westmoreland Manor currently is seeking applicants for two part-time Laundry Workers at the rate of $15.00 per hour. The purpose of the position is to dry and fold linens, towels, and personal clothing. This position will also cross-train and fill-in on the laundry equipment operator (washing) side as-needed.
Job duties include but are not exclusive or all-inclusive:
- Loads and unloads dryers
- Folds blankets, towels, linens, and personal items
- Fills and delivers carts of cleansed and folded laundry to floors
- Cleans lint filters on dryers
Requirements include the ability to operate a variety of laundry equipment including dryers, folding machines, etc. and maneuver/lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds. Must be able to comprehend and interpret daily linen supply records and follow verbal and written instruction. Must be able to work effectively in a laundry room environment. Applicants must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
NOTE: Lift test required to observe ability to safely and efficiently lift up to 75 pounds. Test administered by facility.
Vaccination Notice: Per CMS requirements, Westmoreland Manor requires all new hires and employees to submit proof of full vaccination with one of the four authorized COVID-19 vaccines; this vaccination is considered a condition of employment for all employees. Newly hired employees are required to be fully vaccinated or approved for a religious or medical accommodation by Westmoreland Manor prior to starting employment.
