Catholic Charities of Southern Minnesota seeks a full-time Lead Advocate in Rochester MN. The Lead Advocate is responsible for mentoring and supporting overnight shelter and supportive housing staff to maintain quality and consistency within the Housing Program.
This position will provide support to advocates at two permanent supportive housing buildings, as well as two emergency shelters operated by Catholic Charities in Rochester. A working knowledge of low- barrier shelters, trauma-informed practice, harm reduction and housing first principles, desired. Previous experience working with adults experiencing homelessness, substance use and/or mental health disorders, strongly recommended.
Must have the ability to work with all cultures and types of people. Must demonstrate maturity, flexibility, creativity, initiative, organizational skills, the ability to work effectively with others and to think systemically. This position is scheduled M-F 10pm-6am and will share responsibility for weekend on-call rotation.
