Position Description
The Financial Counselor Lead guides and mentors new/existing staff with daily work, orients new employees, and monitors quality assurance, productivity reports and daily deposits in addition to regular Financial Counselor duties. This role assists the departmental manger with daily operations. The Financial Counselor Lead must remain current and knowledgeable on all state and federal regulations, federal and state poverty guidelines, and third-party payer rules.
Position Requirements
High School Diploma or GED and 2 years or more of experience in financial counseling, Medicaid case work, or working with patient eligibility and sponsorship.
Preferred Requirements
Associates Degree. 3 years or more of experience in financial counseling, Medicaid case work, or working with patient eligibility and sponsorship. HFMA, NAHAM, AAHAM, CPC or equivalent certification.
