Lead Tool Maker Job at Carlson Tool and Manufacturing
We are seeking an experienced 1st Shift Lead Tool Maker to build and service high performance tooling for the Plastic Injection Industry.

Carlson Tool and Manufacturing's Tooling Division designs and manufactures Plastic Injection Molds. Our services include design, build, refurbishment, and reverse engineering services to support the Consumer Goods, Medical, Automotive, and Energy markets.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead Plastic Injection Mold build though all build stages to ensure mold meets customer specification.
- Utilize software to examine 3D mold designs during the assembly of complex mold components.
- Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances.
- Use skills and processes to ensure products meet specifications.
- Communicate with co-workers and Project Leaders to receive instructions and coordinate activities.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of work experience directly related to Plastic Injection Molds.
- Journeyman Tool & Die Maker.
- Ability to read, interpret and analyze engineering designs and computer-based CAD plans and models.
- Ability to deal with a wide range of people and personalities in a manner that continuously reflects a positive team-based work environment.
- Able to work under time pressure and prioritize project requirements.
