Hedrick Gardner Kincheloe & Garofalo, LLP, a civil defense firm with offices throughout the Carolinas, seeks an experienced insurance defense legal assistant for the Raleigh office. The ideal candidate will have civil litigation experience, be detail oriented, have a professional demeanor and be able to handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must also have exceptional proofreading skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will also be familiar with case management or document management software and Adobe Acrobat. Responsibilities include communicating with clients; scheduling; scanning and organizing documents as well as managing deadlines. We prefer candidates with a minimum of three years of litigation experience. A bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred. Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office products and be able to work both remotely and in the office.
