Licensed Practical Nurse Job at Borinquen Health Care Center
Borinquen Medical Centers is based in Miami, Florida and is seeking to hire a full-time LPN to join our team. The position of the LPN will be responsible to administer immunization nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participates in the implementation and evaluation of patient care.
- Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Translate when it is necessary.
- Filling immunization reports and forms.
- Ordering and weekly reporting of inventory of immunizations at assigned sites.
- Able to perform different treatments and procedures in patients when required such as but not limited to: catherization, aerosols, injections glucometry, immunizations, dipstick, dispense medications, wound care, among others.
- Report on and log emergency medical equipment at assigned sites per organization’s policies and procedures.
- Assist with scheduling of inpatient procedures.
- Assist with acquiring authorizations from insurance companies.
- Assist the supervisor as unusual problems arise; Support staff in assigned project based work.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Florida LPN License.
- Current CPR Certification.
- 0-2 years of experience in a related field, immunization experienced preferred.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to interact effectively with consumers, administration, faculty, and staff; Handle the information with high level of confidentiality; Considerable knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
