We are looking for a Locksmith at the Grand Canyon South Rim! This position performs lock maintenance for all company buildings and property. This role is eligible for shared dormitory housing minutes from the rim of the canyon. Housing cost is only $40/paycheck!

• Ensure the security of Xanterra South Rim property, its guests, and employees by maintaining and upgrading locking systems. Distributing company keys and keeping records of all company locksmith related assignments.
• Perform all assignments as directed by the Maintenance Manager, assuring quality, timeliness, and cost effectiveness.
• Install, adjust, and service mechanical and electronic locking systems by using hand tools and electronic equipment.
• Ensure all door locks, panic hardware, hinges, locking mechanisms, electronic strikes, pneumatic closing systems and other door hardware are maintained according to manufacturer’s recommendations and preventative maintenance schedule.
• Ensure all Department work orders are completed timely and efficiently keeping guest service in foremost consideration.
• Assist Locksmith Supervisor with departmental key audits and Locksmith work requirements as in the Xanterra South Rim LLC Key Policy.
• Responsible for the security and safety of company equipment assigned to the locksmith shop.
• Assists Supervisor in maintaining an up-to-date record keeping system of key distribution and noting areas susceptible to key loss and abuse so preventative actions can be taken.
• Maintain discretion concerning knowledge and information of master keys and existing system.
• Oversee the distribution of keys to work areas in all departments as required, with written consent from the appropriate director.
• Responsible for responding to after-hours emergency call-outs.
• Responsible to follow and enforce all company safety procedures.
• Accurately enter all pertinent information into department EAM system in a timely and consistent manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 3-4 years’ experience preferred.
• Locksmith Certifications preferred.
• Possess or obtain a valid Arizona Driver’s License within 90 days of start date and comply with the Xanterra South Rim Company Vehicle Policy.
• Must provide own hand tools.
