We are seeking committed and passionate expanded learning instructors to change the future of students by leading academic, physical, and enrichment activities as part of our Oakland expanded learning programs. As an instructor, you will lead and mentor up to 25 youth in an expanded learning setting. • Pay rate: $17-$19/Hr @ 22-31.5hrs/wk

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• No experience required

• Ability to reliably commute to Oakland

• Commitment to education equity and leadership

• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Preferred:

• Commitment to a full school year, able to practice open, clear, and consistent communication
• Commitment to participate in professional development.

Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain the emotional well-being of the students.

• Provide a safe environment

• Be a positive role model for struggling students

• Have fun engaging students in lesson plans that support school day learning

• Run community circles based on restorative practices

• Ability to collaborate with youth to support their learning and development (youth driven curriculum)

• Ability to model BACR Best Practices as shown in our website
