Description/Job Summary
Resources for Human Development is hirng for a Part Time LPN at our Family House NOW program!The LPN working for RHD's Family House NOW program provides medical care primarily to individuals involved in RHD's Withdrawal Management and Long term treatment services. The LPN will also provide medical services including medication monitoring to all persons serviced by RHD's Family House NOW.

RHD/Family House NOW is currently offering a sign on bonus of $1500 and a retention bonus of $1500 for new hires.
- of approved amount paid at successful completion of 90 days employment, of approved amount paid at 180 days of successful employment*
- The sign on bonuses pro-rated for Part Time positions being filled. (i.e. 20 hrs/week =50% of the above)

Responsibilities/Duties
- Daily documentation of nursing notes
- Obtain vital signs.
- Monitors residents for signs of withdrawal & documents CIWA COWS scores.
- Immediate response and intervention to residents' complaints of pain or stress
- Immediate organized response to emergency situations
- Conducts self in a professional manner, at all times.
- Maintains a cooperative relationship among residents and staff by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; actively participating in team problem solving.
- Assist with admission process.
- Verifies physician orders and accurately transcribes orders as received.
- Assist residents with scheduling outside medical/dental appointments and follow up as needed.
- Maintains universal standard precautions for compliance with infection control and always maintain a clean working environment.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending staff meetings, in-services, workshops and completing Cornerstone education as assigned in addition to outside publications, and courses.
- Maintains accurate nursing documentation and medication records.
- Strictly adheres to controlled substance storage and inventory regulations.
- Assists residents in learning about their medications; assures that medications are taken as physician ordered and recorded in electronic MAR
- Provides nursing care including, but not limited to, wound care, trach care, diabetic counseling, etc.
- Daily assessment of residents' physical health, mental health and emotional needs
- Communicates with other members of the nursing and program staff; communicates serious issues to Nurse Manager and Program Director
- Maintains confidentiality, including keeping voice low and not talking about residents in public areas.
- Assist in maintaining nursing inventory supplies.
Required Experience
2-5 years' experience in a Drug and Alcohol withdrawal management setting.Required Education
- High School Degree or GED
- LPN licensure
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years' experience in a Drug and Alcohol withdrawal management setting.
- Ability to work Holidays when necessary.
- Willing to work with integrated groups & community members.
- Valid driver's license.
- ACT 33/34 clearance.
- FBI clearances, as needed.
Program Summary
Family House NOW is a 13 bed residential treatment facility for women experiencing mental illness and chemical dependence, and their children. Special components address drug/alcohol addiction, mental illness, life skills, trauma, and parenting skills, as well as prevention and intervention for the children. Family House NOW is one of only a few programs nationwide that works with mother and child in a residential treatment setting.
"RHD employees and programs in the City of Philadelphia are required to follow the COVID vaccine mandate. Revised PDPH guidance allows for new hires to be partially vaccinated at the time of hire. This means they have received at least one shot in a two-dose series or a single dose in a one-dose series before beginning in-person shifts. The final dose must be received within 8 weeks of hire (start date). This currently does not include boosters.
