Job Summary

Train and assist to perform set upsand operate injection molding machines and presses to produce a variety ofmolded products or parts from pre-mixed standard rubber or plasticcompounds.

  • Read and understandblueprint drawings/specifications
  • Sets and operates avariety of conventional machines such as lathes, mills, precision grinders,table saw, band saw, routers, drill press, injection moldingequipment, punch press, sand or soda blast equipment.
  • Determine optimalspeeds and feeds of conventional machines.
  • Measure completed partsto ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Fabricate jigs or workholding fixtures as required to perform and complete tasks.
  • Maintain tools inproper operational condition
  • Determine methods orsequence of operations needed to fabricate parts.
  • Provide technicalmachining support to other personnel as needed.

  • Use a wide variety ofprecision measuring instruments to verify parts produced meet dimensions.
  • De-flashing andde-burring of parts produced
  • Able to troubleshootand find solutions to technical problems
  • Dispose of or separatescrap material in accordance to company and/or industry standards due to traceability.
  • Safely work with andhandle chemicals in accordance with MSDS Data Sheets.
