Amalgamated Sugar Company has an opening for a Machinist 3rd Class in the Burley Agriculture office.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must hold safety in the highest regard and lead by example to crew members
- Must work well individually and in a team environment
- Must own or be willing to purchase quality tools needed for the job
- Must have a Class B CDL and current DOT Medical Card, or obtain within 6 months
- Certification from accredited technical school on end mill and lathe operation, or equivalent years of experience.

The Company and the Union Recommending Committee after the posting period will select from the applicants the person(s) to fill the job giving consideration to (1) Ability to perform the work by reason of natural aptitude, acquired skill and experience and (2) Physical Fitness. (3) All attendance and discipline meet acceptable expectations. (4) Applicants have acquired the minimum skills in their current job to be deemed proficient by a minimum of two supervisors and (5) Seniority. When ability to perform the work and physical fitness are equal then seniority shall govern.
