POSITION SUMMARY

Analyzes data from the Industrial Controls Systems software to identify opportunities to improve production and facilities equipment efficiencies/uptime, defines continuous improvement projects based on this data, works with Maintenance Management to acquire funding for projects, engages outside resources and/or internal resources as appropriate, leads and/or executes improvement projects and demonstrates with data from the Industrial Controls Systems software that improvement was achieved and sustained. The scope of these improvement program responsibilities includes, but is not limited to, optimizing equipment reliability, maintainability, and useful life as well as reducing equipment lifecycle costs. The Resource will work with the PM coordinator on developing and implementing appropriate preventive and predictive maintenance activities for new and existing equipment. The Resource will also design, spec out, order, and oversee the installation of equipment/equipment improvements that improve efficiencies/uptime or support preventive and predictive maintenance practices.

Skills and Abilities:

SCADA Integration: Designed and integrated HMI and SCADA systems utilizing Factorytalk View, Wonderware, InTouch, Factory link, Crimson, and Vijeo Designer.

PLC Programming: Experienced with a wide range of PLC programming software, including Allen-Bradley Logix Designer, RSLogix5000, RSLogix500, and RSLogix5 and Schneider Electric’s Concept and Unity programming software, using Modicon M340, M538, and M652 hardware

Instrumentation: Worked with a wide range of instruments, including calibration, installation, programming, and troubleshooting of temperature, pressure, level, flow, conductivity, relative humidity, density, and PH devices. Installed, calibrated, tested, and troubleshot control and discrete valves. Tuned PID loops according to client specifications.

Design and Drawings: Have designed, reviewed, edited, and redlined motor control, instrumentation, and electrical drawings using AutoCAD and Bluebeam. Able to draft, read, and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, one-line diagrams, and P&IDs.

Electrical: Wired and assisted with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of 120VAC to 480VAC equipment, including motors and motor controls, VFDs, and safety systems.

Commissioning and Startup: Developed drawings, programs, HMI screens, I/O Tables, and startup documentation for dozens of industrial sites, including food production, wastewater treatment, and municipal utility services. Includes verification of wiring, testing of equipment and instrumentation, and integration of equipment according to a control strategy or functional specification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $111,000.00 per year
