Work directly for an international chemical products manufacturing company.
This position is in the Cabell County West Virginia area.

Maintenance Mechanic:
Responsibilities:
The primary result expected from the Maintenance Mechanic will be to perform maintenance and repair services in multiple crafts, to set up, adjust and maintain assigned equipment with responsibility for production and quality on this equipment.
  • Repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer"s specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instrument
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and/or repairs of utility related equipment including boiler room equipment, fire protection and alarm systems, filling and packing equipment observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Assure that production equipment is capable of producing within the specifications and tolerances established by the manufacturer. Maintain all operating equipment in satisfactory condition. Schedule needed repair to have minimum interference. Adherence to department and company safety rules. Troubleshoot/repair equipment in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with departmental objectives.
  • Comply with procedures, rules and regulations; completing daily and shift clean up task lists; communicating safety and processing concerns and issues with supervisor and appropriate co-workers.
  • Communicating results/ concerns/ issues with supervisor and co-workers. Ensuring shift to shift hand-off is completed and problems and batch issues are addressed. Accomplishing related results as assigned.
Requirements:
 3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing environment; preferably in chemical/paint manufacturing
 High School Diploma or equivalent
 Must have expertise in packaging equipment, plumbing, and pipefitting, with skills in electrical work and instrument calibration considered a definite plus
 Demonstrated ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex packaging and material-handling equipment is required
 Ability to do basic math.
 Accurately enter and retrieve computer data.
 Ability to operate machinery
 Ability to solve problems in a team environment.
 Active participation in our QIO.
 Ability to consistently lift 75 pounds.
 Willing to work overtime as required.
