Opportunity

The Maintenance Planner will improve work output through the scheduling and planning of nonreactive work. The ability to make independent decisions that minimize downtime and reduce maintenance spend through scheduling of personal, and material and contractor selection is required.

Workflow

• Evaluate incoming work requests for required information and segregate the work appropriately.
• Determine job commencement date by priority, relative to the schedule, equipment availability,
  alignment with criticality matrix, maintenance supervision and material lead-time requirements.
• Make decisions that reduce impact on plant production through thorough evaluation of risk and
  work selection improving OEE.
• Evaluate existing and incoming work volumes and communicate with requester to establish
  priority and use partner contractors as necessary to meet established priority.
• Maintain a current backlog and work with management to address aging work.

Planning

• Develop scope of work and limiting conditions through worksite evaluation and consultation with
  the requester, engineering management and equipment suppliers.
• Identify and provide required safety procedures and documents and coordinate as needed.
• Determine and select material suppliers and contractors based on quality and cost requirements.
• Project shutdown requirements and cost to support monthly maintenance budget goals.
• Complete pre and post job plan review with management team and update accordingly.

Scheduling

• Prepare a detailed weekly schedule that identifies daily activities, including allowance for
  emergency work and preapproved vacations.
• Revise the weekly schedule for major changes in project scope affecting resources and
  communicate these changes to all effected parties.
• Participate in a weekly schedule meeting with contractors, operations and maintenance, including identification of additional downtime for critical work.

General

• Facilitate preventive maintenance program for required documentation (i.e. OSHA, EPA, etc.) and participate in PM optimization.
• Manage equipment documentation program including archiving, updates and removal of
  documentation for eliminated equipment.

Skills/Requirements

• Associate degree required.
• Three (3) + years in maintenance field with hands on experience.
• Previous experience in maintenance planning preferred.
• Previous experience with CMMS software (SAP experience preferred)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
