Maintenance Planner

Maintenance Planner responsibilities include, but are not limited to, monitoring all time controlled items to ensure compliance; developing work packages and schedule for accomplishment; coordinating with Maintenance Control/Dispatch to assure aircraft routing is such that maintenance check intervals are utilized efficiently while maintaining maximum schedule flexibility.

Duties and Responsibilities

• 
  Forecast fleet maintenance requirements.
• Prepares and assembles scheduled work packages (A-Check, C-Check, and Phase Checks) for Swift aircraft.
• Prepares pre-draw materials list for scheduled maintenance work packages and produces a Sales Order for those materials.
• Coordinate with Materials department to ensure required materials for compliance of time-limited items are available when and where needed.
• Coordinate with Operations / Dispatch to assure aircraft routing such that maintenance check intervals are utilized efficiently while maintaining maximum schedule flexibility.
• Monitor all time-controlled items to ensure compliance within prescribed limits allowed by the Swift Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP) and other controlled documents (e.g. Airworthiness Directives, SSID, CPCP, etc.).
• Perform daily review of up-coming time-limited maintenance items.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Control to schedule compliance of time-limited items.
• Track completion of issued time limited items, and ensure accurate updating.
• Develop RON work packages.
• Determine routine maintenance requirements and prepare all required documents.
• Monitor all deferred maintenance items and issue for correction when parts and manpower are available.
• Confirm status of material, tools, equipment, and pre-draw for routine and non-routine work.
• Prepare and issue RON reporting forms.
• Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures.

Required Skills

• 
  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus one year of related experience preferred
• A&P License
• 3 years Aircraft Maintenance Planning experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, problem solving skills
• Able to work beyond scheduled shift time to accommodate flight operations
• Must be computer literate (Microsoft Suite and ARMS)
• Able to work independently and be pro-active in the department
• Highly motivated, able to accept new challenges and adapt to a changing work environment
• Able contribute new ideas or procedures to the department
• Must be a team player
