Maintenance Process Engineer Job at Lakeside Book Company
Provide subject matter expertise of maintenance and setup of equipment. Manage and coordinate projects with line supervisors, Press Operations, Bindery, Maintenance or other departments. Project to include; implementing new equipment, upgrades to process or equipment, training on new equipment or processes etc. Prepare reports for management as required. Provide technical assistance to manufacturing areas responding to breakdowns and/or overhauls or equipment. Develop training programs and job aids for new equipment. Monitor the production floor to assess technical needs of the departments. Maintain and update information in CMMS software program.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage projects involving manufacturing equipment or processes.
- Troubleshoot and assist in the maintaining manufacturing equipment.
- Provide leadership in identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements.
- Determine necessary parts, order parts, and communicate with necessary contributors on order status.
- Works directly with all other manufacturing areas to improve workflow and quality.
- Assist in tracking priority work orders’ status and facilitate completion
- Participate in training and development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial engineering with 2-5 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
- Preferred project management experience from concept to project completion. Leadership and supervisory experience a plus.
- Able to effectively communicate inter-departmentally.
- Able to apply problem solving tactics to resolve issues.
- Experience in troubleshooting machinery.
- Able to read and interpret work instructions. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
- Able to use AutoCad to create plant layouts.
- Read and abide by all Safety rules.
