Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Program: Business Operations
Shift: First - Full-Time
Job Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00pm - Monday through Friday; on call duties for assigned area and every 3rd weekend
Job Location: Dekalb, Gwinnett, Rockdale, Fulton, and Newton Counties
Job Description:
Under the general supervision of the Facilities Maintenance/Construction Manager; this individual will be responsible for completing maintenance request from a variety of sources.
Must have a general knowledge of most building maintenance and repair tasks including but not limited to: painting, dry wall repair, appliance repair, assembling furniture, changing light bulbs, and ballasts in light fixtures, basic plumbing, basic electrical and other miscellaneous duties. Individual must also be capable of driving a View Point Health vehicle and must have a clean driving record.
Requirements/Competencies:
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds
- Requires you to be physically able to reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, raise your arms over your head, balance on ladder and sit or stand for long periods of time
- Must have valid Georgia driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy
- Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens
- Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license
- All applicants must be capable of implementing all of the physical behavior management/manual techniques (such as CPI) for employment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience in building repairs and maintenance or in the specific area of assignment
NOTE:
Applicants must provide official transcripts for undergraduate and graduate degrees, copy of diploma for High School/GED, and official copy of professional license (if applicable) to be considered for an interview.
