Remedy Staffing is looking for a Maintenance Technician to work in the Packaging Department for one of the largest cosmetic beauty product manufacturers. Must be qualified to perform all lower level Packaging Tech duties and also be capable of coordinating the activities of the teams within their assigned area. Must be familiar with all Procedures and Practices related to Manufacturing Operations.

*Multiple Shifts Available*
Shifts:

• 1st: 7am-3:15pm
• 2nd: 3pm-11:30pm
• 3rd: 11pm-7:30am

Pay: $25.00 base per hour + shift differentials

OVT: required

Location: Westside Jacksonville, FL

Job Responsibilities:

• Manages Preventative Maintenance program. Trouble shooting and repairs of breakdowns as needed.
• Identify and acquire repair/spare parts through appropriate means with management approval.
• Performs all required Process Control adjustments and maintain all associated documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Lead/coach/train all team members.
• Perform all duties associated with advanced quality surveillance, safety/GMP adherence, and operation of the line
• Coordination / liaisons between Filling & Assembly and Bulk Manufacturing.
• Coordinate activities of Pack Tech II’s & Pack Tech V’s within assigned area
• Other duties and tasks as required and directed by the supervision.

Qualifications:

• Operate and perform all maintenance on a variety of packaging machines & conveyors.
• Capable of being fork-lift certified and licensed.
• Capable of training and coaching others on a variety of machines and equipment.
• Able to communicate effectively with co workers.
• Maintain and update all applicable records.
• Capable of establishing and implementing methods/projects to improve line uptimes and bulk yields.
• Ensure that the line and work stations are clean/free of debris and in compliance with safety/GMP standards.
• Keeps machines and equipment clean and in excellent operating condition as required by the specifications of each piece of equipment and machinery.
• Responsible for performing quality assurance procedure to insure that the products are in accordance with the specifications of each product.
• Perform related duties as required and directed by the supervisor.
• Meet company attendance requirement for any pertinent training classes or on the job training.
• Meet or exceed physical demand and requirements for the position.

Physical Demand and Requirements

• General, must be able to understand and perform quickly any instruction given by the supervisor related to the jobs performance. Must be able to give instructions clearly and effectively.
• Must have adequate hearing.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. continuously and 50 lbs. intermittently without restrictions.
• Must be able to stand, sit, and walk continuously for 8 hours.
• Must have no medical impediment to perform moderate to heavy duty work.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Ability for work well in a team environment
• All other qualifications of lower level Packaging Technician positions
• Meet company standards and testing for this position.
