Overview:
The Management Analyst participates in briefings on relevant threat topics to develop exercise content for partners, provides support to Office of Preparedness staff working supply chain coordination efforts that are sometimes related to emerging threats and/or risks and acts as a primary emergency responder for the division which sometimes requires accessing information on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) distribution material for senior leadership decision making support.
Responsibilities:
- Provides accelerated Geographical Information Systems (GIS) based analysis following a disaster or emergency or during an exercise, related planning, response, recovery, critical infrastructure, and as needed to meet ASPR’s mission.
- Supporting communications with partners during response or exercise operations.
- Support inputs to protocols on the collection, management, and interpretation of data related to such activities.
- Support senior analysts with the coordination and collaboration with a broad spectrum of public health constituents and participants, including Federal, state, local and international public health officials, as well as government officials, private entities, and senior researchers in academic settings.
- Utilize social media tools to monitor trends and critical information requirements, applying social media analytics to create products that enhance the situational awareness picture, specifically during a disaster event.
- Prepare, produce, and coordinate inputs for reports, studies, and briefings for a variety of audiences that demonstrate broad analytical expertise in assigned discipline(s)/focus area(s).
- Assist with the analysis of complex public health policies, programs, and statistics to advise senior management on public health policies, operations, products, and/or services.
- Research and evaluate developed and/or evolving scientific and technology efforts related to the Operational Data and Analytics mission areas.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (science, engineering, technology, business).
- 8 -10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience using data analysis tools (e.g., SAS, R, Excel) and data visualization tools (e.g. SAS Visual Analytics, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI) a plus (not required).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
