Job Summary: Elevation is always aware of the importance of customer experience and quality installation; we cover every step to ensure sure our customers are taken care of. The MPU Manager position oversees the MPU process on a job from Meter Spot to scheduling to inspection, and everything in between. There will be coordination between energy service partners (ESP), utilities, the AHJ, the installer, and the homeowner that all must flow through this individual in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Will oversee and manage all MPU department personnel and related tasks.
• Review meter spot results to ensure that the location is acceptable according to utility and AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) standards.
• Review photos of work to verify accuracy and completion.
• Make outbound calls to AHJs to set up inspections.
• Coordinate lath and stucco repair when needed with Handyman.
• Update work orders in a timely manner.
• Oversees the training of MPU department personnel.
• Reviews and approves hours of MPU personnel.
• Take ownership for escalated customers and drive their projects to completion.
• Oversees training of department personnel.
• Assists in forecasting equipment and material needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years managing a team preferred.
• Effective communication skills.
• Experience with MPUs – Required.
• Experience working in Solar industry – Required.
• Eagerness to learn the Elevation way.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Positive and professional demeaner.
• Ability to build rapport with partners.
• Ability to work through an online customer database and record all information there.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:?

• Work both inside and outside in all temperatures and climate conditions in accordance with Heat Stress procedures.
• Work around energized electrical equipment.
• Must be prepared to work irregular shifts and respond to emergency callouts 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
• Ability to work in mentally stressful environments: must be able to react to crises where immediate action is required to correct or curtail potentially damaging or hazardous situations.
• Daily work expectation requires ability to perform tasks by walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, crouching, squatting, twisting, pushing, pulling, shoveling, climbing, and working with hand tools (up to 25 pounds) in positions above and below head, and extended from body to complete repairs.
• Lift, carry, position, and use tools and/or equipment (weighing up to 50 lbs.) in awkward positions.
• Ability to discern assorted colors.
• Ability to twist the body and neck while driving company vehicles.
• Work with and around hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Can discern and respond to verbal and auditory signals.
