POSITION
The Director of Information Technology reports directly to the CEO and serves as the process and systems owner of all corporate systems, hardware, internal servers, network, and end user devices (laptops & phones). All IT systems must be built and configured in compliance with the organization’s information security policies.
C&R Software is seeking an experienced Director of Information Technology who will grow in the role, taking on increasingly more complex technical challenges as the organization continues to expand.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The core responsibilities of the position are to:
- Write purchase justifications, train users in complex topics, presentations and interact with upper management
- Integrate all standalone networks between multiple locations - globally
- Design, implement, and manage complex local and wide-area networks
- Integrate acquisitions
- Identify and work with outside service providers for specific areas of IT outsourcing needs
- Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements; planning for and preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action
- Facilitate positive and productive long-term relationship with internal and external clients
- Manage information technology and computer systems
- Identify problematic areas using highly developed problem-solving skills, and implement strategic solutions in time
- Provide ongoing maintenance and continually monitor internet and server connectivity to ensure that it is performing at an acceptable level
- Keep informed of internal system performance and resolve issues as required
- Document all maintenance and installation activities and system performance and provide monthly reports measuring system performance
- Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures
- Ensure 24/7 support to all site locations
- Maintain the Hardware Requirements Checklist documentation
- Troubleshoot and work autonomously
- Manage and lead less experienced network engineers as needed
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with:
- Microsoft Server and Desktop Operating Systems
- Active Directory/DNS/DHCP
- Identity providers and IdP federation
- Exchange Server 2010/2013/2016
- Virtualization Technologies
- Mobile Device Management Technologies
- SAN
- Network Design and Management; IP, VPN, VLAN’s and VOIP knowledge required
- Anti-virus software
- Network Protocols – TCP/IP
- VoIP technology
- Back-up solutions
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- A desire to expand your own technical learning and the aptitude for learning on the fly
- Five or more years of network and systems experience, including design, installation, and maintenance
- Certification in MS Windows Desktop and Network operating systems or equivalent experience
- 2-5 years managing a small team with experience in directing others with the ability to delegate effectively using strong command skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to maintain composure under stress
- Outstanding customer focus and customer service abilities; approachable
- Excellent organization, time management and supervisory skills and is action-oriented
- Self motivated and self-directed
