Manager of Ticketing and Reservations Job at Thomas Jefferson Foundation, Inc.
Monticello is seeking a Manager of Ticketing and Reservations. This is the opportunity to lead a dedicated team and coordinate one-of-a-kind experiences for guests from all over the world.
Purpose:
The Manager of Ticketing and Reservations maintains the Foundation ticketing database and manages the Reservations and Ticket Office areas. In addition, this Manager analyzes appropriate data to make recommendations on tour mix, ticket pricing, and avenues of upselling.
We will look for you to take the lead in four Essential Areas:
Ticket Administration
- Communicate with program managers to ensure accurate schedule of programs and events.
- Ensure programs follow approved operations calendar and established processes and procedures.
Daily Operations
- Coordinate group and advanced sales through efficient staffing, training, and follow-up of reservations employees.
- Works with Ticket Office Team Leader to ensure efficient staffing, training, and follow-up of ticket office employees.
- Review and approve staff schedules.
- Create and manage budgets.
Database Management and Analytics
- Maintain the integrity, security, and processing of ticketing database.
- Develop standards, guidelines, and controls for data input and storage in database.
- Responsible for troubleshooting software issues. Work with IT department and software vendor to resolve issues. Participates in installations, upgrades, and testing.
- Ensure reporting to proper departments and managers occurs timely.
Personnel Management
- Lead hiring process for reservations and ticket office staff.
- Manage performance of staff in reservations and ticketing areas through training, delegation, and follow-up. Acts as a mentor to Team Leader.
The Manager of Ticketing and Reservations should be proficient with databases, high-level MS Word, Excel, and Access and have the ability and confidence to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner. The individual should have the ability to make sound decisions, sometimes based on limited information.
Monticello is located on a mountaintop and walking on uneven terrain and inclines is required. Regular driving to other office locations is required. The Manager of Ticketing and Reservations will participate in Guest Relations Manager on Duty program. This involves inspecting interior and exterior guest areas including the proper operation of shows and exhibits. As MOD, you will check for safety and repair issues and walk the Monticello guest areas in all types of weather, year-round.
