Summary:

The position of Sales Delivery Manager (SDM) is a key player on the sales team. This position requires a driven individual with strong business acumen, excellent communication and relationship-building skills and a passion for growth.

The successful DSM:

  • Partners with Area Sales Managers to understand deal economics and contractual agreements for new business wins.
  • Responsible for the successful onboarding of new customers from point of contract signing to hand-off to account management.
  • Works across teams, outside vendors, and customers to actively manage project plan to ensure sites are branded and fueling in a timely manner.
  • Anticipates potential roadblocks and pro-actively finds solutions to mitigate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage project plans for designated customer wins.
  • Establish effective relationships with internal and external teams, vendors, partners, and customers to ensure sites are converted in a timely manner.
  • Ensure deal economics and project spend is aligned.
  • Provide critical thinking skills to effectively overcome objections and successfully complete negotiations.
  • Facilitate transition of new accounts to Area Operations Manager to complete onboarding and account management functions.
  • Accurately report status of site readiness and key performance metrics on a regular cadence.
  • Effectively utilize technology, programs, platforms (i.e., Salesforce, Tableau, Concur, etc.) for all phases of the sales process and site enablement.
  • Evaluate current processes and facilitate process improvement across internal and external teams accelerate time to brand.
  • Represent Sunoco LP and its portfolio of brands, products and services with credibility and integrity.
  • Act as a business advisor, consultant and credible source of industry and market knowledge.

Required Skills / Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, & Abilities:

Experience in project management and working across multiple internal and external teams to bring projects to fruition. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong desire to achieve objectives. Experience in the retail or construction industry is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 8 plus years of experience is required
  • Minimum of 3 years project or program management experience required.
  • Travel up to 30% of time.

Working Conditions:

  • Usually, normal field and office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
