We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer (Mechanical) to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Manufacturing Engineering Manager and based in Newark, Delaware.
Additional Comments:
This is a 2nd shift position covering nights (4 day-10-hour week - hours of 7pm to 5:30 am) for all manufacturing engineering activities across multiple functional areas for fuel cell manufacturing
** Additional pay differential of 10-15% is included due to hours. **
Role and Responsibilities:
- Devise novel ways to improve manufacturing processes, product flow, reduce waste using Lean Manufacturing techniques and culture
- Implement process/manufacturing technologies from proof of concept through production, including development and control of tools, software, fixtures and gauges to improve safety, quality, throughput, repeatability and ergonomics with the highest possible Return on Investment
- Set policies, procedures and standards to leverage best practices across multiple manufacturing facilities worldwide
- Review, initiate and monitor product and process changes/deviations (ECN, DCN, DEV)
- Launch process to review quality problems with cross functional groups, implement and track solid corrective actions to reduce failures
- Collaborating with other department to ensure all manufacturing protocols meets the highest level of performance, reliability and safety.
Skills and Experience:
- Entry level position
- Minimum BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline (Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering) required
- 0-2 years experience in Mechanical Engineering or Operations working in an energy or manufacturing environment, preferably with oil and gas, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries
- Ability to understand, troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment & processes in a hands-on manner
- Experience in rapid scale up of new products and or operations is highly desirable
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods
- Effective problem-solving skills

Pay: $62,000.00 - $89,300.00 per year
