Group Description
AB’s Multi-Asset Solutions (MAS) business has been a significant component of the firm’s growth over the last decade. The group integrates fundamental and systematic approaches to investing and has been the primary driver of AB’s shift toward more systematic strategies. The MAS team has made and continues to make significant investments in analytics infrastructure through collaboration between portfolio management and technology.
MAS is seeking a software engineer to develop the next generation risk and performance analytics infrastructure.
Responsibilities

Participate in next generation analytics infrastructure design and development using cutting edge technologies involving

Ingesting data from internal and external sources building on existing data warehouse framework

Building portfolio risk and performance analytics calculation services
-
Building data API to fulfill needs of technology infrastructure across AB (sigmas to call api for risk calcs

Building web UX to assist efficient portfolio management

Participate in agile software development processes and code reviews
-
Innovate to bring relevant technologies and methodologies to AB MAS analytics infrastructure

Maintain existing data ingestion processes and UX tools
Qualifications, Experience and Education
-
7+ years’ experience in self-driven software design and development
-
7+ years programming experience in SQL and a high-level language, Python preferred
-
7+ years developing Risk software for a front office multi-asset team preferred
-
7+ years’ experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, agile software development tools

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline. Master’s degree preferred
In accordance with Section 8-107(32) as set forth in the New York City Human Rights Law, the minimum and maximum base annual salary for this role is as follows:
Base Salary Range: $185,000 to $210,000
Actual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base salary is just one component of total compensation at AB, which may include, depending on eligibility, commissions, year-end incentive compensation, short- and long-term incentives and Department-specific awards. In addition AB provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, sick and vacation time off.
