Material Handler Job at Coast of Maine
Position Needed:
Material Handler – 1stShift shift
Location:
East Machias, ME
The Material Handler is a vital member of the manufacturing team. This position works on a fast-moving production line, which has product passing along on conveyor belts, through different stages. The main function of the material handler is to keep pace with the machine load manually load bags to be filled with soil. This position may also be assigned to a variety of different duties based on production needs.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Work on the production line with consistent speed and accuracy
· Inspect all product as it passes through the machine and report any quality issues
· Maintain a clean and safe work are
· Work within all safety guidelines and report any safety concerns
· Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Previous experience in manufacturing preferred
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· On-site training is given
Physical Requirements
· Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time
· Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand.
· Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures.
· Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at times.
