About the role:
Responsible for on-site management and execution of materials function within the Demo Product Program, including order scheduling, planning, procurement activities and project management. Position will also contribute to development of key strategies supporting continuous improvement and alignment of the Demo Product Program. Tasked with leveraging relationships between BSC sites, divisions, and strategic supplier base to improve organizational efficiency and optimize business and financial opportunities.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • On-site 4 days/ week minimum to identify, prioritize, coach, and lead continuous improvement efforts, participate in and conduct continuous improvement activities.
  • Define metric reports for key performance parameters.
  • Participate as member of Operations leadership team, multi-site Materials/Procurement Councils, and learn/locally deploy best practices and opportunities found through benchmarking other BSC site practices.
  • Monitor shared mailboxes that support demo product program requests for Endoscopy and UroPH Divisions and assign responsibility to team members.
  • Owner and SME of Core IMS which is the application used to receive, ship, and maintain demo product inventory
  • Owner of WindChill documents pertaining to Marlborough Demo Product Program and point of contact for all internal and external audits
  • Manages inventory review and reserves process in conjunction with site finance, includes execution of transactions and physical disposition of materials identified as excess, expired, and obsolete.
  • Demonstrates adept project management skills, including project chartering, timeline development and management of deliverables.
  • Manages department budget activities
  • Reports summary performance to senior management and elevates appropriately.
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with internal customers and/or sister plants.
  • Develop and implement commodity strategies that improve on a balanced tradeoff of sourcing quality, cost, risk, and growth.
  • Support BSC corporate quality objectives through supplier identification, evaluation, and ongoing management.
  • Build relationships with outside suppliers and respective internal leads to increase organizational integration and efficiency.

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years materials management experience in lieu of an undergrad degree
  • Minimum of 4 years in materials management experience with an undergrad degree
  • Experience with Inventory Management System, Microsoft Office, Windchill, SAP, Warehouse tasks – receive, pick, pack and ship, - monitoring shared mailboxes
