As a marine technician at East Coast Marine, you will enjoy multi-line training and certification, excellent pay/commission and benefits.
We are a Mercury Marine Platinum Certified Dealership specializing in the diagnostic and repair of Mercruiser, Mercury Verado and the new V-12 engines. We staff two Mercury Master technicians.
Also a Formula Boats service and warranty service center.
Technician position is a key component in the service depatment’s customer satisfaction.
The position-holder is responsible for maintaining and repairing marine motors for customers in a professional and timely manner.
.The successful candidate will be able to:
- Diagnosis, Maintenance, and Repair:
- Test, inspect, investigate, and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures
- Perform routine maintenance on all types of engines
- Perform safety inspection and recommend services
- Prepare new boats for delivery to customers
- Seek-out opportunities to generate revenue while performing maintenance
- Perform sea trials
General Duties and Administration:
- Report labor hours to Service Writer
- Compile and submit parts requests to the Parts Advisor
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area and company vehicle
- Properly diagnosis and repair jobs as well as find and up sell additional repairs
- Actively pursue and participate in continuing education activities

Candidates must possess a valid U.S. driver's license, be self-sufficient
