Position Summary
Serve as the primary liaison for campus-wide multi-media services. Assist with campus programs and events by providing primary oversight of event media services. Coordinate with vendors, agencies, facilities staff, and other on- and off-campus constituencies to provide media services for their programs/events.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain policies and procedures for requesting, obtaining, delivering, and evaluating multi-media services from a centralized service.
- Coordinate with students, faculty/staff, vendors, agencies, and other on- and off-campus constituencies to coordinate and provide media services for their programs.
- Manage the Ware Student Center monitor screens.
- Maintain, secure, and document inventory of all non-classroom multi-media equipment and supplies and related service contracts.
- Maintain, repair, replace, and upgrade all non-classroom multi-media equipment and plan for future multi-media needs according to ongoing requirements. Observe safety requirements. Report safety issues and items requiring work orders to supervisor.
- Set-up, test, and operate multi-media equipment as needed.
- Remain current in multi-media, sound and lighting technologies.
- Recruit, supervise, and train student workers to assist in providing services. Maintain media student worker schedule of relevant campus events requiring multi-media services.
- Collaborate with IR when vendors are consulted for special projects, installations, and implementation of new and repaired multi-media equipment for the Ware Student Center, The Lodge and Clements Hall.
- Flexibility in working weekend and evening hours as programs dictate
- Effective communication skills, oral & written
- Ability to work well with the public and cooperatively with other staff and departments.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree and/or appropriate technology certifications preferred.
- One to three years’ experience in related field with some supervisory experience.
- Knowledgeable about and experienced with live sound equipment and stage lighting
- Experience in an educational environment a plus.
