Medical Biller with Synergy Software Experience
AmeriCare Medical provides integrated home and health service to hospitals, insurance companies, assisted care facilities and private homes throughout Michigan. We are the parent company of AmeriStaff Nursing Services, Sun Medical Equipment and Supplies, QCN, and RxIV Pharmacy, delivering a complete and unprecedented home health service solution.
We are recruiting for a full-time medical biller skilled in medical insurance verification, billing, and patient admissions. The perfect candidate will have experience using Healthcare Synergy software or similar application.
Responsibilities:
- Obtains service authorizations and performs intake of patient referrals.
- Completes initial documentation on new admissions and establish patient clinical records.
- Communicates information related to patient admissions to nursing, coordinating, and recruiting departments.
- Develops and maintains personal relationships with referral sources, case managers, social workers, physicians, and other referral sources.
- Completes and manages supporting documentation required for billing through Synergy software.
- Cash posting
- Addresses patient and family concerns in a supportive and informed manner.
- Perform additional duties as requested
Requirements:
- Must Pass a Criminal Background Check (Required)
- Must be eligible to work in the United States (Required)
- Experience in billing and insurance verification (Required)
