MEP Health Madison, WI 53715

$10 an hour
Medical Scribe
MEP Health is searching for medical scribes to be part of an amazing team of over 60 physicians and 40 advanced practitioner providers (APPs) practicing at a variety of emergency departments (ED) and urgent care settings in Wisconsin. At MEP we show up to work every day because we are passionate about providing outstanding care to the patients of our community. Our pursuit of excellence in patient care helps fuel our passion for acute care medicine.

As a scribe with MEP, you will work in collaboration with your attending physician(s) and APPs to provide acute care to patients. On the job, you will:
  • Be the physician’s shadow, documenting all pertinent medical information.
  • Assist with documentation of each patient’s medical record during his or her stay in the ED by accompanying the physician into the patient rooms in order to transcribe a history and physical examination as given by the patient and physician.
  • Document procedures performed and results of labs, imaging, or other evaluations. You may also document pertinent information when a consultant is called, and updates/reassessments of the patient.
  • Pay attention to what is happening with each patient to update the note accordingly and finalize it by listing all proper diagnoses as well as any discharge/follow up instructions and prescriptions, under guidance of the physician.
We provide a two hour orientation and on-the-job training with a veteran scribe to ensure your success and have shift needs that can fit into your busy schedule.
