Job Title: Molding Preventive Maintenance Technician

Department: Injection Molding

Accountability: This position reports to the Production Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Mold installation and removal on the pressroom floor
• Train to Inspect and Maintain Molds
• Calibrate, set-up and run injection molding machines and equipment
• Set-up and operate a variety of manual machines including mills, drill presses and lathes a plus
• Adhere to manufacturing and quality processes and procedures
• Maintain safe operation of equipment
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
• Maintain and clean equipment according to manufacturer instructions
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
• Document actions by updating quality and production logs
• Request and recommend repairs as needed

Requirements:

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent, technical certification a plus
• Mechanically inclined with experience using basic hand tools
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, and engineering drawings
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
• Must possess a strong attention to detail
• Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
• General knowledge of workplace safety, a plus
• Forklift driving experience a plus
