Role description:

Responsible for leadership, cultivation and maintenance of mortgage loan production from origination to funding through a variety of resources. Assigns sales objectives for the mortgage loan products, suggesting sales production goals, and meeting them on an annual basis. Develops a strong and successful network of members. Manages production and servicing staff. Influences the strategic direction of our mortgage area and leads technology and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
• At least six years experience in secondary market mortgage lending.
• Prior supervisory experience with strong management and communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of mortgages with proven ability to assess loans and make calculated risk decisions.
• Proven leadership/management skills and ability to see larger picture issues.
• Comfortably communicate and create relationships with members through active conversations to uncover potential needs. Must be friendly and be able to represent the credit union in a professional and positive manner. Overall, excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated initiative and drive to achieve goals.
• Able to take responsibility for individual career development and training and seek opportunities to learn.
• Effective in finding solutions to problems.
• Service-oriented; a team player.
• Extremely well organized, accurate, detail oriented, professional and reliable.
• In depth understanding of technology used within the mortgage industry with an ability to lead the team in selecting and acclimating to developing technologies.

• Life experiences demonstrating ability to manage personal finances and offer financial advice.
• Requires a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
