Job Summary
Supports the development and implementation of all hardware and software to include monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving any network issues. Responsible for department in the absence of the IT Manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
> All Team Members must embrace and deliver Kiowa’s Guest Service Standards to every Guest on every shift, as outlined in Orientation, the Team Member Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and any other related training
> Consistently ensures an exceptional level of service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the property, exceeding the expectations of external and internal Guests alike in a timely and effective manner
> Ensures that all software is tested and upgraded in a timely manner, as needed
> Maintains a current list of all software applications including currently-used and obsolete software, and updates this list regularly (a copy of this list is kept both onsite and offsite)
> Ensures that all software is properly licensed
> Assists Director of IT in maintaining disaster recovery plans
> Sets up and maintains new users on the LAN; monitors usage and access to computer and software
> Performs analysis of network needs and contributes to design of network architecture, integration and installation
> Installs and maintains LAN hardware and software, including servers, printers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals and wiring
> Evaluates LAN hardware and software requirements and capabilities, and makes recommendations
> Coordinates installation of hardware and software by others
> Provides support to and trains end users in the selection, usage, and maintenance of software programs and hardware
> Communicates and coordinates network schedules, backups, and downtime to users
> Coordinates third party maintenance for network hardware, software, and telecommunications services
> Prepares and maintains documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts
> Adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures, and to the MICS
> Responsible for hiring, retaining, promoting, performance evaluations, training, disciplining, and terminating employee with concurrence of the Department Director, General Manager and the Director of Human Resources
> Must adhere to the safety rules and regulations of Kiowa Casinos and of the IT department
> All other duties as assigned
> Must adhere to departmental, organizational, state, and federal safety rules and regulations, applicable processes for safe operation, appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, in addition to any/all related controls for personal welfare and the safety of others

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)
SPECIFICS REQUIRED:
> At least 21 years of age
> High school diploma or GED
> Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years IT network experience
- OR -
> Associates Degree in related field and 4 years IT network experience
- OR -
> 6 years IT network related experience and 2 years lead/supervisor/manager experience
> Experience with tape backup and restore techniques
> Thorough knowledge of Cisco Hardware Technologies
> Practical experience with Windows Active Directory to include server management and deployment of Windows 2000/2003 (including Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003) in an enterprise environment
> Practical experience in the area of Cisco hardware administration to include layer 2 and/or layer 3 Catalyst
SKILLS REQUIRED:
> Strong computer skills with experience in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets (ability to demonstrate proficiency)
> Strong project management skills
> Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
> Excellent written communication skills
> Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills

> Excellent problem solving skills
